MV Agusta presents first Watch Collection June 28, 2007

While the watchmaking know-how of the JEANRICHARD company is deeply rooted in the Swiss watch manufacturing tradition, its spirit is clearly influenced by Italian culture. Owned since 1988 by Mr. Luigi Macaluso, President of the Sowind Group, the brand is currently headed by his son, Massimo Macaluso. Both of them passionately interested in art and design, they have jointly succeeded in infusing JEANRICHARD with a touch of fresh spontaneity and originality that enables the brand to stand out in a refined and elegant manner among the most prestigious watch brands.

Far more than even style, a shared passion for precision mechanical engineering is the prime common denominator between JEANRICHARD and MV Agusta. The tight control exercised over their entire production chain enables these two independent brands, each producing around 6,000 units per year, to distinguish themselves from the competition in terms of technological and aesthetic creativity. Know-how, quality and exclusivity are the keynotes of this partnership that is materialising this year with the launch of a first “MV 75 World Champion” limited edition of JEANRICHARD for MV Agusta watches.

The “MV 75 World Champion” collection, presented by JEANRICHARD, was specially developed in honour of MV Agusta’s 75 international competition victories. It is composed of three chronograph models in gold, steel and titanium, equipped with the JR1000 movement in-house manufactured by JEANRICHARD. The case, which is also produced in the workshops of the Sowind Group, is distinguished by an extremely contemporary, pure design, reinforced by a black carbon dial. This dial surfaces gives a particularly technical and sporting appearance to these three exceptional models, featuring a counter arrangement similar to the dashboard instruments on MV Agusta motorcycles.

On each of the three dials, bright touches of red echo the famous colours of the MV Agusta motorcycles that have shone through so many seasons on racing tracks the world over. The series number is engraved on the back of each watch, alongside the MV Agusta logo adorning the sapphire crystal that enables one to admire the exquisite finishing of the JEANRICHARD movement, decorated with the Côtes de Genève motif. Limited editions of 75 in pink gold, 175 in titanium and 575 in steel.
