Aprilia Tuono Factory September 25, 2006

With 139 HP, racing suspension, an abundance of carbon fibre, and stunning styling, Aprilia’s hypernaked has just become meaner and more exciting than ever.

Aprilia Tuono! The name itself tells you there are no half measures about this bike. The Tuono is the meanest and fastest naked on the market, with a reputation justified by domination of the world’s race circuits, endless comparative tests in the motorcycle press, and total satisfaction of its owners.

As with all Aprilias, the strength of the Tuono is not so much in brute force alone, but in a perfect balance between a generous engine and a sublime frame.

Now, a year after the successful presentation of the ‘R’, Aprilia is proud to present the ‘Factory’, in a limited series of 300.
The ‘Factory’ is still a Tuono, but meaner, more extreme and more hypernaked than ever, a truly professional racer dedicated to riders who demand state of the art technology and absolute maximum performance. Expert riders with a taste for the exceptional will certainly appreciate the record-beating performance of this stupendous street-fighter.

The Tuono Factory is equipped with an even more powerful engine, the latest generation V60 Magnesium, with larger valves and exhausts, a new injection system and modified catalytic converters for a maximum power of 139 HP (102 kW) and a torque of 11 kgm at only 8500 rpm.

This increased performance is held in check by an even more refined chassis, featuring a new Öhlins 43 mm upside down fork at the front and an Öhlins piggy back monoshock at the rear. This state of the art production suspension system offers a full range of precision adjustments to match the needs and preferences of any rider and any circuit.

The ‘Factory’ is  also equipped with prestigious OZ forged aluminium wheels and lighter bodywork, with a carbon fibre belly pan, side panels and mudguards. These weight-saving modifications, plus the use of a frame weighing only 9.6 Kg and an engine that uses magnesium components whenever possible, means that the Tuono Factory tops the scales at a record 181 Kg.

The braking system uses four-piston radial calipers with two 320 mm floating discs at the front, and a 220 mm disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. All hoses are metal braided  aeronautical style hoses for incredibly responsive braking.

With its aggressive graphics and sporty colour schemes, the Tuono Factory is unmistakable in looks too. Its prestige components, like its frame, swingarm and wheels are essential elements of style and are left exposed for maximum effect.

Aprilia’s ‘Enjoy Me’ programme with its four year warranty is available even for the high performance Tuono Factory.
