Aprilia USA and Lloyd Brothers renew Flattrack Team Effort for 2007 March 2, 2007
Aprilia USA is proud to announce that Lloyd Brother Motorsports, Inc will once again field an Aprilia V990-powered machine in the 2007 AMA Flattrack Season. The primary rider for the team will be Henry Wiles of Blanchard, Michigan competing in 1 Mile and ? Mile venues.
“We are very proud to have Aprilia represented in the AMA Flattrack racing series” says Mike Kull, Vice President of Marketing for Aprilia USA, “We are looking forward to working with Lloyd Brothers Motorsports and the AMA for 2007. With the addition of our new off-road products to our line-up, we hope to inspire Aprilia flat track riders across the USA.”
“The commitment and dedication shown by the Lloyd Brothers in 2006 was phenomenal. You can see it in our results. In 2006, our 1st year racing together, we qualified for 7 main events. A fantastic result for a rookie season on prototype equipment considering the fact that only 9 riders on well established teams made more main events” says Rick Panettieri, Aprilia USA Product Manager. “We are confident that in 2007 we will see even better results as the program evolves.”
Henry Wiles will return to pilot the machine. “I am extremely excited to build on what we started last season. The Aprilia engines are fantastic, however, last season was more of an on track test and tune session to develop the chassis and suspension. To qualify for so many main events was a big accomplishment, but now I’m ready to work my way to the front of the main events.” says Wiles.
The Aprilia USA / Lloyd Brothers Motorsports will be touring the AMA Half and full-mile circuits totaling twelve events this season. Product sponsors already signed on are Komodo Leathers, Arai Helmets, K&N Filters, Motion Pro Tools and Cables, Vortex , Dynojet, Diamond Chain Company, AF1 Aprilia and Martin Eurosports. Additional sponsors are being sought for what will continue to be one of the most interesting teams in the AMA Flattrack series.
The schedule for the season can be viewed at www.amaflattrack.com those interested in Flattrack racing can learn more about the Lloyd Brothers effort at www.apriliausa.com and www.flattrack.com, a web presence that has been very supportive of the effort since its beginning.
