Bimota DB6 Delirio Most Beautiful Naked Bike June 28, 2007

Bimota DB6 Delirio and Tesi 3D receive top honors from leading designers at European Design Institute in Italy

On Tuesday May 22 the Museum of the European Design Institute (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Milan, Italy, hosted the International “The World’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle” Award. Headed by Enrico Leonardo Fagone, the Jury consists of fashion designers, architects, artists, designers and experts of transportation design: Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Alessandro Belli, Mario Bellini, Giacomo Bertolazzi, Lorenzo Bianda, Aldo Colonetti, Massimo Fiorentino, Alessandro Giudice, Shinya Iwakura and Kenneth Noland.

After careful scrutiny of the latest motorcycles and scooter models - the highest expression of style on two wheels - representing manufacturers from Europe, Japan and the USA, the Jury announced the winners: The Bimota DB6 Delirio was awarded First Place in the Naked Streetbike class, and the Tesi 3D took close second in the Prototypes category.

This award is one of several of the Museum’s activities to honour and relaunch the artistic achievement in product design that truly represents “design in motion”. Headed by Bruno Alfieri, the European Design Institute also hosts annually “The World’s most Beautiful Automobile” and “The World’s most Beautiful Truck” Awards.

The Awards Ceremony was held in the Sala Appiani of the Arena in Milan on June 13. The most beautiful bikes of 2007 will be presented in Shanghai later this year, where they will receive an important accolade from the Chinese motor press.
