BMW Motorrad Canada announced today that Oliver Jervis and Chris Duff will campaign the new BMW R1200S in the 2006 Canadian Thunder Racing Series. The factory effort, named the Schenker BMW Financial Services BMW R1200S Team will feature the new R1200S boxer twin which boasts an additional 24 horsepower over its predecessor along with a weight reduction of 13 kilograms before race modificiations.

Munich. Just in time for the start of the 2006 season, the BMW Branch in Munich is opening its new Motorcycle Centre at Frankfurter Ring 29, right next to the main operation.
The world’s largest BMW Motorcycle Centre, which is unique in this style to date, will be opening to customers over a total area of 9,000 m2, after around a year’s renovation work and investments of 5.6 million euros.

Even in test rides with prototypes last year, Chris Pfeiffer was instantly taken with the playful agility and perfect engine characteristics of the brand new BMW 2-cylinder.
