Harley-Davidson will launch the Twin Cam 96, an all-new Big Twin engine, as it introduces its 2007 line of motorcycles. The Twin Cam 96 will power all models in the Harley-Davidson Dyna, Softail and Touring product families, each of which will also feature the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. Bemisderfer snags Thunderbike Win at rain-soaked V.I.R. June 28, 2006

Harley-Davidson/Buell of  Frederick rider Bryan Bemisderfer survived an off-track excursion from the rain-soaked Virginia International Raceway and recovered to pass Veatch Motorsports rider Dave Estok on the last lap to win the American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) Thunderbike National, part of the Sixth Annual VIR Festival of Speed. Bemisderfer and Estok were both riding Buell Firebolt motorcycles. Arnold Hasting was a distant third on a Suzuki SV650.
 
Estok, the defending National Thunderbike champion, led qualifying for the race, posting a lap of 1:33.461 on the 2.25-mile VIR road course.

Harley-Davidson today officially launched construction of the much-anticipated Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee with a groundbreaking ceremony that kicked up more than just a little dirt.

Held on the future Museum grounds at 6th and Canal Streets, the groundbreaking was accomplished in a truly unique Harley-Davidson style: by setting aside the traditional golden shovel and instead, literally “breaking the ground” with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Harley-Davidson Applauds U.S. Trade Agreement With Vietnam May 27, 2006

Harley-Davidson motorcycles can one day roll through the cities and countryside of Vietnam, thanks to an agreement in principle on trade that opens the Southeast Asian country to more U.S. products.

During the final round of negotiations in the Bilateral WTO Market Access Agreement between the U.S. and Vietnam, officials of the Office of the United States Trade Representative were successful in eliminating or lowering longstanding barriers to Harley-Davidson’s market entry in Vietnam.

Harley-Davidson And S&S Reach Settlement Agreement April 24, 2006

Harley-Davidson Motor Company Group, Inc. and S&S Cycle, Inc. announced today that they have resolved litigation between the two companies which had been pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. In March 2005, Harley-Davidson filed a Complaint against S&S alleging various acts of patent and trademark infringement. The companies recently reached an amicable resolution to the litigation that involved re-design by S&S of crankcases and oiling systems and a re-write of S&S product descriptions referencing Harley-Davidson’s trademarks.
