Munich. Just in time for the start of the 2006 season, the BMW Branch in Munich is opening its new Motorcycle Centre at Frankfurter Ring 29, right next to the main operation.

The world’s largest BMW Motorcycle Centre, which is unique in this style to date, will be opening to customers over a total area of 9,000 m2, after around a year’s renovation work and investments of 5.6 million euros.

Assen 500: First World Championship Race to be Held on New Track…

The TT Circuit Assen has been redesigned over the winter, with the “North Loop” section of the circuit being extensively remodelled.

The Assen 500 round of the FIM World Endurance Championship will be the first world championship race to be held on the new track.

The circuit will be christened with a round of the Dutch Open Championship on the 2nd of April, with the World Endurance Championship race taking place two weeks later on Easter Monday, the 17th of April.

Neil Hodgson and Ben Bostrom of the Parts Unlimited Ducati Team tested at Barber Motorsports Park on Monday and Tuesday. Both riders saw their schedule put into fast forward mode on Tuesday afternoon because of weather issues. Wet conditions at the tight 2.3-mile circuit on Tuesday morning kept the teams off the track until noon, but the afternoon saw a flurry of action on the Birmingham track. Fortunately, both riders were able to complete the testing program for their Ducati 999 Superbikes.

BSB: Rizla Suzuki To Test In Spain

Rizla Suzuki will travel to the Guadix circuit in southern Spain for a two-day test session before prior to the second round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park on April 9th.

After a pre-season test programme blighted by wet and cold weather, the move to Guadix, near Malaga on the south coast of Spain, is to try and ensure dry miles of testing for Rizla Suzuki.
