The Parts Unlimited Ducati Team returns to AMA Superbike racing this weekend at Laguna Seca. Fresh off his Utah podium performance, Ben Bostrom and teammate Neil Hodgson, plus the rest of the AMA stars, will race as a support class at the US Grand Prix. The Ducati 999 pilots will contest the 28-lap AMA Superbike battle on Saturday afternoon in what is becoming one of the most significant races in the USA.

Ducati Xerox Team riders Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi will be back in action again this weekend for the seventh round of the 2006 World Superbike Championship at the AutoMotodrom Brno in the Czech Republic. Just a few days after the conclusion of a successful three-day test at the Lausitzring, the Australian championship leader and his Italian team-mate will be donning their leathers once again as the series passes the half-way point to move into the second half of the season.

SBK: Alstare Suzuki set for Brno after tests

After the successful tests at the Eurospeedway Lausitz, Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra has just time for a very short break before the Czech round of the championship in Brno this weekend.

The team packed all their gear away on Monday evening and began the journey from the former East Germany and into the Czech Republic and will have just a day or so to prepare for Brno.

Both reigning champion Troy Corser and Yukio Kagayama were pleased with their Lausitz tests and felt that they had sorted out some of their recent problems.

SBK: Stern test for FPR in Czech Republic

Foggy Petronas Racing riders Steve Martin and Craig Jones will be hoping to build on the progress made at recent test sessions, at this weekend’s seventh round of the Superbike World Championship at the Czech Republic circuit of Brno.

The team visited the undulating circuit for a three-day test last month and this week made further strides forward at another three-day test session at Lausitzring in Germany.

Both riders are, however, under no illusions that Brno poses one of the stiffest tests for the Petronas FP1, with steep climbs from slow corners highlighting the capacity deficit.

The two Hawk Kawasaki riders are heading for the picturesque track of Oulton Park, Cheshire this weekend (21st ­ 23rd July), for round nine of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Craig Coxhell (23) and Peter Hickman (19) and looking forward to tackling the 2.7-mile circuit.

Coxhell gained two strong results last weekend at Knockhill Circuit, Scotland and is looking to add a few more positive results to his tally. US Superbike: Kawaski’s Hayden returns to Superbike action July 19, 2006

Kawasaki Racing Team rider, Roger Hayden, plans to return to AMA Superbike racing July 22, at Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., during the upcoming Superbike doubleheader. Hayden, 23, from Owensboro, Ky., sustained a broken right Tibia and Fibula during a crash while contending in Superbike at Barber Motorsports Park in April. Despite the injury, Hayden only missed one event at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif., and continued to run in the AMA Supersport category after surgery to repair the damaged limb.

Flat Track: In evening of changes Aprilia just misses transfer to main

As the qualifying session finished, a downpour soaked the track at the Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, VA.  After a short delay, racing resumed.  As the track dried throughout the evening changing conditions wreaked havoc from one end of the paddock to the other with every team desperately searching for the perfect setup.  Last minute changes to tires and gearing were frantically reset in a gamble to gain traction.

Four-time British Superbike race winner Steve Plater will join Rizla Suzuki as a replacement rider for the injured James Haydon at the ninth round of the Championship at Oulton Park this weekend.

The 2006 North West 200 winner who lives in Lincolnshire will join regular Rizla Suzuki racer Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne at the 2.69-mile long Cheshire circuit.
