Foggy Petronas Racing enter the home straight of their five-year existence knowing that points will be at a premium in the closing stages of the Superbike World Championship.

The 2006 season ends with four quickfire rounds over six weeks for riders Steve Martin and Craig Jones, starting with round nine at the Dutch circuit of Assen this weekend.

After a couple of weeks break Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra are refreshed and ready for the ninth round of this year’s championship at Assen in Holland this weekend.

The Assen round marks the first of four rounds taking place in just six weekends and so all at Alstare are eager to get things rolling with a good performance. Whilst the Airwaves Ducati riders Gregorio Lavilla and Leon Haslam were preparing for the fast and furious racing on Bank Holiday Monday at Cadwell Park, one of the team technicians competed in a bike race of a slower kind also taking place at the weekend.

Dave Gibson, one of Leon Haslam’s technicians, took part in the inaugural Charity BSB Cycle Race on the evening of Sunday 27th August on behalf of the Airwaves Ducati team. BSB: Mixed Fortunes for Hawk Kawasaki at Cadwell

Varying weather conditions played a crucial part this weekend for Hawk Kawasaki, at the eleventh round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park, Monday 28th August. The three Hawk riders, Dean Thomas, Craig Coxhell and Peter Hickman scored a mixed bag of results in the two races around the technical and twisty 2.17-mile circuit.

British Superstock: Second Place for Roberts on New Bike

21-year-old Brendan Roberts took on a new challenge this weekend at round eleven of the National Superstock Championship at Cadwell Park. After sealing the Championship at Croft, Roberts proceeded to sell his two Suzuki GSXR-1000’s and ride on board the Kawasaki ZX10-R, provided by Astro Van Centre in the 15-lap Superstock race.

British Supersport: Another Win for Spalding at Cadwell Park

19-year-old Pete Spalding carried on his winning form this weekend at Cadwell Park, Monday 28th August. The youngster who tied up the British Supersport Cup Championship at Croft took his tenth win from ten races at the technical Lincolnshire Circuit.

Spalding was running well all weekend and managed to qualify in a strong 15th position on the grid. A strong start saw him move through the pack to tenth but he slowly dropped off the pace and was struggling to stay with the front runners.

Valter has gained the fasted lap in all DDC’s races, his laps were better than the laps in the Open 4V category there runs bikes like the powerful 999RS (Superbike, over 180hp).

It was an absolute dominion started during the saturday free practices where Bartolini runned a incredible lap: 1.09.25, only 4 decimal from the Varano fasted lap of Pini with his Sukuzi GSX-R SBK.

It is with regret that Team Virgin Mobile Yamaha has released Kieran Clarke from his Team duties.

Kieran has struggled to regain his confidence after a disastrous 2005 season and a winter testing crash. The Team has supported Kieran throughout and worked very closely with him to try and regain the pace we know he is capable of.
