Ducati Desmo Challenge: Millona Queen of the Varano Circuit August 31, 2006

Valter has gained the fasted lap in all DDC’s races, his laps were better than the laps in the Open 4V category there runs bikes like the powerful 999RS (Superbike, over 180hp).

It was an absolute dominion started during the saturday free practices where Bartolini runned a incredible lap: 1.09.25, only 4 decimal from the Varano fasted lap of Pini with his Sukuzi GSX-R SBK.

Valter obtained this practice and race time running always in drift, exalting spectators and all person present on the circuit: every lap was a great show.

The Varano race is the demonstration of the big potential of the Millona because the time lap gained by a 2 valves engine, 116hp, against the powerful 4 valves engine (180hp), shows that the Millona is really an unique and exclusive race product.

We want to remember that also the great performances of DS1100NCR engine, the dry weight of Millona Factory (One Shot for customers) is 120kg and this gives the possibility to be so competitive and also to be the reference for the 2 valves category.

Great congratulations from the race team to Fabrizio Tinti that with his Millona One Shot gained the front row with a great 4th position during the qualifying practice. He gained the 2nd position, in front of Bizzarri, with an extraordinary start and after an incredible duel he finish his race at the 4th place.

Bizzarri has won the Supertwins championship in the past edition.

Tinti wins the championship for the best Ducati Desmo Challenge 2006 rookie (Open 2 valves category) and he wins also the DOC challenge.
