Ducati Desmo Challenge: NCR Millona takes Victory at Varano September 2, 2006

Valter set the fasted lap in all DDC’s classes, his lap times were better than the Open 4V class which include bikes like the powerful 999RS (Superbike, over 180 hp). It was an absolute domination beginning with the Saturday free practices where Bartolini tuned in a incredible lap: 1.09.25, only 0.4 seconds from the Varano track record set by Pini with his Sukuzi GSX-R SBK.

Valter entertained the crowd with his two wheel drifts, wowing spectators again and again: every lap was a great show. The Varano race is the demonstration of the big potential of the Millona because the time lap set by a 2 valves engine, 116 hp, against the powerful 4 valves engine (180 hp), shows that the Millona is really an unique and exclusive race product.

NCR want to specifically point out the great performance of DS1100NCR engine, the dry weight of Millona FACTORY (One Shot for customers) is 120 kg and this gives the possibility to be so competitive and also to be the reference for the 2 valves category! Valter finished the race giving over 35 seconds to the second rider Paolo Bentivogli on Bimota DB5 and lapped the rest of the riders!

Great congratulations from the race team to Fabrizio Tinti that with his Millona One Shot qualifying in the front row with a great 4th position during qualifying. During the race, he made it up to 2nd position, in front of Bizzarri, with an extraordinary start and after an incredible duel he finished the race in 4th place.

Bizzarri has won the Supertwins championship in the past, so many compliment Fabrizio! Tinti wins the championship for the best Ducati Desmo Challenge 2006 rookie (Open 2 valves category) and he wins also the DOC challenge. We are proud for the performance of Giuliana Teverino on her Millona S and we communicate the unhappy performance of Enrico Martini and his Millona One Shot.
