After mathematically conquering the 125 title in Australia (thanks to Bautista’s victory), Aprilia was able to adorn itself with the 4-liter laurel even before the end of the championship.

We are talking about a great result for Aprilia, confirming the validity of its products and Italian technology the world over.  Aprilia was, in fact, the only production house in the world championship able to draw itself up in the 125 and 250 with over 31 motorcycles, three of them official in the 250.

The 2006 season was characterized by the competitiveness of Aprilia on all international racetracks, even those traditionally not favorable to Noale engines.

Overall in 2006 (up through the Australian Gp), Aprilia has reeled in nineteen victories in the two categories, ten in the 125 and nine in the 250.  Bautista, the world champion with three races left to go, has already climbed atop the highest grade of the podium seven times.  Mattia Pasini has done the same twice and Hector Faubel once.
