NCR Millona Winning in Italy and USA June 29, 2006

One year ago, the 18th july 2005, NCR introduced the Millona exactly on this circuit, and now NCR CORSE come back strongly with 4 Millona’s customers and the official Millona Factory 2006 ridden by Valter Bartolini. The Vallelunga’s appointment was very important for testing new technical solutions on the Millona Factory. NCR go through plenty of testing before the race to gather as much information and data as possible, fully aware that only the race itself can proof if new technical solutions are really performing. Only during the race you find your competitors. The principal adversary in the DDC championship - as in Supertwins championship - is Paolo Bentivogli with his Bimota DB5.

The saturday’s free practice was dominated by Valter Bartolini with a time of 1.45:4 against the Paolo Bentivogli’s 1.48:6. A great result, this is the best Millona Factory’s lap time on Vallelunga circuit (2005: 1.46:2).

The Martini’s lap time was very good. He placed his Millona One Shot at the 5th place and Fabrizio Tinti (Millona One Shot) placed 10th.

NCR is further proud to announce the debut of Riccardo Bendinelli (Millona S) and Giuliana Taverino (Millana S).

The sunday’ qualifyng practice confirmed the authority of Valter Bartolini with his perfect Millona Factory 2006: he gained the pole with a fantastic 1.44:6, one second less from his best saturday’s lap time, and two second less from the 2005’s lap time.

The second place was for Paolo Bentiovogli (DB5) with 1.46:7. A Great lap time also for Enrico Martini (Millona One Shot) that earned him the 5th position, and a good time for Fabrizio Tinti (Millona One Shot) as well. With his time Bartolini could take the pole in the Superstock category and the front row in Superbike competition. Bartolini dominated the race from the first lap to the conclusion of the race. At the end the NCR riders finished with a solid advantage of 16 seconds and 826 versus the Bimota’s rider.

Martini (Millona One Shot) finished his race on 7th place and Tinti (Millona One Shot) - at his debut on Vallelunga circuit - on 9th.

At the end NCR placed 3 Millona in the first 10 positions, a great weekend for NCR CORSE - and a great way to celebrate the Millona’s first anniversary:

- first place for Giuliana Teverino in the women’s category
- second place for Fabrizio Tinti in the Rookie’s category
