Partnership between Kawasaki PSG-1 and Shosholoza confirmed in Valencia February 21, 2007

The partnership between Kawasaki PSG-1 and the team Shosholoza started in Sestriere last January during the launch of the sammarinese team that partecipates to the Suberbike Worldchampioship.

During the event the Shosholoza Director Luigi Saidelli together with the Responsable of the hospitality Claudio Maria Marciano and the team Manager Pierguido Pagani swapped their own symbols in honour of this partnership.

In Valencia this agreement will be confirmed. The 15th of April the team Shosholoza will watch the WSBK’s race from the box of the sammarinese team and the 16th will be the Kawasaki PSG-1 team to be guested on the hospitality boat of the Shosholoza team.

For the first time a crew representing the South Africa in the 32nd edition of the America’s Cup, and on this occasion Fonsi Nieto will partecipate to this first race of this competition as 18th man on board.

It’s the first time that a South Africa’s team is competing in this famous Sail World Championship, as for the first time the PSG-1 is competing in the WSBK with the sammarinese flag.

This sports agreement is really important to reinforce the sport values in which both the teams believe. Two completely different sports where in one of them( WSBK) the technology is dominating to achieve the extreme fastness, and in the other one (AC) the technology is together with the natural energy as the wind, but even if it’s very difficult to think about an union of this two sports practicated in two different ambients ( asphalt and sea), that represents the big result of the sport without borders.

So it’s with fervour that we wait for this handshake, symbol of this union of two sports that has a lot in common even with many differences.
