SBK: Kawasaki Corse meet San Marino’s Secretary of State November 27, 2006

On 20 November at 3.30 pm, a cordial meeting was held beetween  the Secretary of State (Minister) for Foreign Affairs, Fiorenzo Stolfi, and the PSG-1 Kawasaki Racing team which represents the well known Japanese factory in the Superbike World Championship, and which has its head office in the Republic of San Marino.

The European General Director, Sergio Vicarelli, together with the Psg-1 General Director, Pier Guido Pagani, the Responsible for Public Relations, Marco Callero, and the two official riders, Fonsi Nieto and Regis Laconi, presented to the Secretary of State for foreign affairs the Team’s programmes for the next Superbike World Championship, which
will start on the end of February 2007 in Qatar.

Vicarelli also officially invited The Secretary for foreign Affairs to the presentation of the new motorcycles, which will take place in Sestriere from 27th to 29th of January, asking him to have permission to put the San Marino’s flag on the motorcycles livery.

The Secretary of State Stolfi emphasized the importance for San Marino in having a racing department such prestigious as Kawasaki, and assured the Team of San Marino’s willingness collaborate with PSG-1 Kawasaki Racing’s success.

The riders presented their race helmets to the Secretary of Stateas a present which has been returned by giving them philatelic collections 2002, year of the first victory of the sammarinese rider Manuel Poggiali.
