Troy Corser meets the Princess Royal September 27, 2006

Reigning World Superbike Champion Troy Corser met HRH Princess Anne at the 10th anniversary reception of charity organisation Riders for Health at the Hurlingham Club in London this week.

The Princess Royal, who is the charity’s patron, spoke with the Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider, former Superbike Champion James Toseland and industry supporters.

Said Corser:  “She was very easy to talk to and she seemed to know about motorcycle sport because of the comments she made. This was the first time I’ve ever met royalty and I was impressed with the way she was able to talk to all of us and also her interest and dedication to Riders for Health. I have been a supporter of Riders for Health for many years and will continue to do so for many years to come.”

Later Corser tried out an Uhuru - one of the Riders for Health motorcycle vehicles - in the Hurlingham Club car park. He managed to get the sidecar wheel off the ground without difficulty and then he took Riders for Health’s Andrea Coleman for a spin.
